Shamanic Healing is the oldest system of healing on our planet, and archeological evidence suggests its existence before we became Homo sapiens. Shaman is a term borrowed from the Siberian indigenous traditions, and is translated to mean One Who Sees in the Dark, or One who Knows. Shamanism as a spiritual and medicinal cultural practice has existed in every culture throughout the world, and while the term is borrowed, the practice and receipt is one we have all culturally and genetically inherited from our ancestors.

A Shamanic Healer is a person who has learned to alter their state of consciousness using the rhythm of a drum, rattle, or even psychoactive plants and fungi. Within this altered state, the practitioner visits other realms and meets with helping spirits who provide guidance, instruction, and information to assist in the healing of the patient.

While in this state, the practitioner works with the spirits in a number of ways that will bring benefit to the person seeking healing - including retrieving lost parts of the soul (soul retrieval), retrieving power animals and totems that the patient has lost connection with, unraveling curses or hexes that may have been placed on the patient or their family, in this life or in those passed, deposessions and extractions of hindering or dangerous entities, energies, or even traumatic memories, severing connections with people, places, and the past that are no longer beneficial, and even generating creative, prosperous, fertile, or spiritual energies as needed.
